Yesterday was the first leg of our cross country trip. IT WAS HARD! IT HURT! I WANTED TO CRY! But, I finished the 40 something miles. Thank God, Ron Dahlin and George took time to teach me the ropes. Here is what I've learned so far:

1. Eat Breakfast.
2. Eat some more.
3, Drink Lots of Water.
4. Know when to switch bike gears.
5. Never, ever skip lunch again.
6. Buy more water bottles.
7. Stretch.

You guys and gals are so awesome!!! Tell us the funny stories when they occur. You should keep a tally of flat tires and miles you ride each day.

Some questions from my biking father: How many pounds do you each carry? What is your average speed?

God bless you as you ride.

We have three tents, a camp stove and some minor group items we are switching off with each other every few days, I have less have less than 40 pounds and I would say about 50 is the average among us. Emily has a trailer and the rest of us have panniers.
